The Day of the Lord Jesus Christ

Acts 2:15: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16: But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17: And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

21: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I Corinthians 1:4: I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

5: That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

6: Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

7: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

8: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 5:1: It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

2: And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

3: For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

4: In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5: To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

II Corinthians 1:13: For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;

14: As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Philippians 1:3: I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

4: Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

5: For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

6: Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

7: Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

8: For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

9: And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

10: That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

11: Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Philippians 2:14: Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

15: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

16: Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

I Thessalonians 5: 1: But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2: For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3: For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4: But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

II Thessalonians 2: 1: Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2: That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4: Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

II Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11: Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12: Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13: Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14: Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Revelation 16:13: And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14: For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15: Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
